Managing the Flow of Wine Knowledge
Events, shows and tastings are an important part of the wine industry calendar. With TastingBuddy's eCatalogues, producers, importers, merchants and trade organisations can now easily enter all their up to the minute wine data, whatever the event, enabling instant availability of information to both wine trade professionals and the wine press. |
Catalogue Web Management
With online wine entry completed, trade professionals can then visit TastingBuddy.com and electronically navigate the catalogue in advance of an event. This means that wines of interest can be reviewed and in a few simple clicks, the vast collection of thousands of wines can be reduced to a handy, concise list of your preferred wines, or even downloaded to a phone or other mobile device. |
 |
You need TastingBuddy's eCatalogue service if:
- You have a limited amount of time to spend at an event and want to make the most of it.
- You are only interested in a subset of wines or producers.
- You don't want to trawl through the massive tasting tome on arrival.
- You want to have instant access to all your important wine information after the event.

James Murray, show director for LIWF 2009, comments: "When it comes to running successful wine events, information is king. We know that visitors to the LIWF spend a lot of time planning ahead to maximise their time and we need to be doing all we can to provide the information that they require. That's why we partner with TastingBuddy so that we can provide a service where buyers can access and cross-search such a wealth of information (price, varietal, country, region etc), which will ultimately ensure that we marry buyer and supplier together quicker and more effectively, ensuring even more business is achieved. What's more, they are a great team to work with."
Catalogue Device Management
With TastingBuddy® installed on a mobile or other hand-held device, plus the eCatalogue downloaded, steering around the collection of wines at any event now becomes simple. Having already pre-selected a "trail" on the web, it can then be followed. Or, if there are particular wines of interest, these can be further filtered and grouped for ease of viewing and evaluating.
What are the advantages of using eCatalogues?
- They help you to navigate the increasing number of wines on show.
- Therefore they maximise your time at the tasting as you arrive better prepared.
- They allow you to focus on the wines you wish to taste and/or the producers you wish to meet.
- After the tasting, there is no need to search through the tome for wine information as your pre-selections are stored in your TastingBuddy® ID.
- This information can then be effortlessly shared with colleagues or customers saving you valuable time.
